Conclusion

If you’ve noticed that the last lesson repeats a lot of the previous information, then you’ve been paying attention.  This should serve to illustrate the overarching truth that all of our hunting skills are intertwined.  Use your intellect to guide your actions.

Knowing that their senses are keen but their attentions are short can give you leverage.  Understanding that your surroundings will undoubtedly determine your shot type gives you an edge.  Know your gear, know yourself, and maintain situational awareness at all times.  You are unique in the woods because you have the ability to plan ahead.  Your brain is larger, so use it.

Keep these things in mind and practice them regularly until they become habit.  When you’re facing a whole sounder, you’ll have 15 different attention spans to avoid and it only takes one to ruin your hunt.
